To our Valued Clients

Re: Travelling to the Arctic:

I am pleased to advise you of new developments that we have recently finalized in order to serve you better in the 2014 season and beyond.

As you know, we have been staging our hunts from Churchill, Manitoba as the access base for our private charter flights which take you up to our caribou camps. Churchill is only accessible through Calm Air or Via Rail, and the flight from Winnipeg is quite expensive while the train is too time consuming for today’s busy hunter. This year we have made changes that enable us to stage our hunts from Thompson, Manitoba.
This provides you with much more affordable air access to our staging base. Thompson is also accessible by good paved highway for those choosing to drive to Manitoba for your hunt in Nunavut.
We will take care of all travel arrangements from Thompson and all related costs are included in the price that you are paying for your hunting experience with Henik Lake Adventures. From Thompson we will take you by private charter to Nejanilini Lake, where we have additional aircraft stationed for the final flight to our caribou camp at Baralzon Lake.
If you have already booked your Winnipeg to Churchill flight, please let us know and we will assist you in changing this flight and securing your refund for the difference in cost. Changing your Calm Air flight will provide you with substantial savings in airfare to get to the starting point for your hunt.
We have always been committed to providing you with the best hunting experience possible for the least cost and we focus our resources on what you are ultimately seeking: providing you with comfortable access to the high quality trophy animals found in Northern Canada.
Our overhead costs do not directly contribute to your experience and we are constantly seeking ways to keep these costs as low as possible while providing the support required to ensure things go smoothly for your entire hunt.
Accordingly, we have recently formed a partnership with another quality outfitter, Webber's Lodges, in order to more efficiently provide the backroom services required to deliver our hunting experiences. This partnership will be seamless to our clients and it is unlikely that you will notice the resulting changes, but we wanted to inform you of this partnership as you may receive some materials from Webber's Lodges going forward that reflect this new arrangement.
We are excited about these changes, as they will further strengthen our ability to deliver the quality hunting experience that you expect when dealing with Henik Lake Adventures. Last year our clients took home exceptional trophy caribou, scoring as high 406. We are looking forward to another great season in 2014!
