Caribou Hunts:
A complete set of good quality waterproof rain gear (a pair of bib overalls or loose
fitting waist pants, and preferably a ¾ length jacket)
Ex. Helly Hansen or Cabelas MT050 or any high tech un-insulated rainwear
One cool/extreme weather field coat or parka with hood. We suggest cabela’s Gortex
White Tail Series or the Browning Hydrofleece or similar
For pants, we suggest either insulated or uninsulated Goretex (depending on the month
you are hunting). Ex. Cabela’s Ambush Goretex jean cut pants
Medium or heavy wool pants
One wool sweater or polyester/fleece jacket; Two wool or poly-pro field shirts
Two sets of thermal, poly-pro or capilene long underwear
Five pairs of medium/heavy wool or synthetic socks
One pair each of warm wool and waterproof insulated gloves (Goretex)
Hiking boots (insulated)
One pair – 15” insulated rubber boots (Cabelas 1400 gram or warmer boots)
Binoculars 8x42, 7x50 or 10x50 , spotting scope is optimal
Hard rifle case for travel and a soft case for the float plane charter
Flashlight, headlamp, camp shoes, towels, bug dope, head net, meds, knife, etc.
Dry pack, medium to large
Optional……….Therma Rest Sleeping Pad, we supply pads but not Therma Rest
One good quality sleeping bag (polar guard or Hollofil/quallofill) rated to 10 degrees
Firearms: Caribou, 6MM and up, 20-30 rounds
Clothing should be Medium or Heavy depending on month. This is a generous list that would be adequate for our Mid/late September and October hunts.

Personal medication

Sunglasses and sunscreen

Polar Bear/Wolf/Muskox Hunts:
Down parka with fur trimmed hood and down wind pants (rated to 40 below)
Warm mitts, large enough for inner gloves, heavy woolen shooting gloves
Face mask and tinted snowmobile googles
Fur hat with flaps that tie down around ears and back of neck
The warmest boots made by Cabelas or Northern Outfitters. Boots should be designed for extreme cold with liners and bring extra liners.
Bring lighter clothing for in or around camp - camp boots, jacket, sweater, light wind pants, toque, gloves...
Murals or light shoes, easy to put on and pull off, for camp
Pure wool or wool/polypropylene long-handle underwear
4 or 5 pairs heavy wool socks, 4-5 pairs thinner wool socks
Pair heavy wool pants and 2 heavy wool shirts
A down-filled sleeping bag rated for -40 F
Sharp knife and sharpening steel
High quality binoculars and/or spotting scope
Hard gun case for shipping and hunting, recommend SKB hard case from Cabelas
High powered rifle with 40 rounds (300 magnum or larger)
