ATV Caribou Hunt

Henik Lake Adventures Ltd. offers guided trophy hunts for central barren-ground caribou by ATV (all-terrain vehicle). Hunting by ATV gives us the mobility and freedom to travel across the tundra in search of your trophy. This hunt is a basic package where you travel with your guide and camp along the trail in cabins or tent accommodations. This hunt is physically challenging, full of adventure and an excellent opportunity to get a trophy of a life-time. This is one of the only caribou hunts with 100% mobility where you could access large areas of prime caribou habitat to find a great trophy. We hunt the half a million strong Qaminirjuaq caribou herd as they are migrating through the western Hudson Bay lowlands.

We set up camp or stay in cabins depending on where the caribou are concentrated. The camps are basic with the guides doing the cooking. Ptarmigan hunting and fishing is also available. Our 5 day package commences from Arviat based on 4 or 6 hunters.

Cost per person: 2011 ATV Caribou Hunt $5450.00 + GST (5%) (2x1)

Hunt Package includes:
  • 2 caribou tags from HTO.
  • Services of our experienced guides; 2 hunters per guide
  • Preparation of trophies & packing material for meat & antlers
  • lodging & meals
  • ATV rental
Hunt package does not include:
  • Airfare - Winnipeg to Arviat ($1100.00); government tag & trophy fees ($472.50); fishing ($52.50) & small game license ($52.50); wolf/wolverine tag ($52.50 each)
  • lodging & meals in Arviat or a southern stop over; gratuities to guides;
  • Items of a personal nature, including sleeping bags, excess baggage charges, any cost incurred by delays due to bad weather or mechanical problems.
Deposit: A deposit of 50% is required to confirm booking of caribou hunt.
Balance of payment is due 60 days prior to the start of the hunt.

Cancellation: The deposit is non-refundable unless a replacement hunter can be found.
